ASU Police reported the following incidents Sunday:

  • A 19-year-old female ASU student was arrested early Sunday morning on the 500 block of East Veterans Way on suspicion of being a minor in consumption of alcohol, police reported.

Police found the woman lying on the floor of her residence hall, according to the police report. She reportedly told police she had consumed three shots of vodka and was feeling sick.

The woman's speech was slurred, her eyes were bloodshot and watery, and her breath had the odor of an intoxicating beverage, police reported.

She was transported to the Tempe St. Luke's Hospital by Southwest Ambulance, police reported.

She was then arrested at the hospital and given a citation, which she signed. She was later released.

  • A 19-year-old Tempe man was arrested Sunday afternoon at Lemon Street and Rural Road on suspicion of outstanding warrants, police reported.

Police conducted a registration check of the man's license plate while he was driving, according to the police report.

The registration check showed the man's registration was expired, police reported.

Police then conducted a traffic stop, and the man was unable to provide any insurance paperwork for the vehicle, according to the police report.

The man's vehicle registration was also expired, police reported.

A warrants check revealed that the man had a valid Tempe Municipal Court warrant for failing to appear in court for minor in consumption and a valid Gilbert Municipal Court warrant for failing to appear in court for shoplifting, police reported. The officer conducting the traffic stop requested assistance to take custody of the man.

  • A 28-year-old Phoenix woman was arrested Sunday morning at Broadway and Rural roads on suspicion of driving while suspended and four civil traffic offenses, police reported.

The woman was in a vehicle with expired registration tabs. Police contacted her after running a registration check of her vehicle, according to the police report.

The woman said she was driving to a traffic survival school, which she needed to do so her license could be reinstated, police reported. She handed the police officer a document stating she had been arrested for driving under the influence in April 2007, according to the police report.

She was cited and released from the ASU Police station, police reported.
