The wonder years

All the Hanson brothers are now married, even the girly looking one. Let's just get that out of the way.

Long ago, in the embarrassing years sometimes referred to as our "tweens," there were some people who may have cared about that. While many try to forget those years when they argued over which boy band member they were going to marry, some embrace it. And, more likely than not, those people are the singers and bands whose former glory has faded away into obscurity.

Before their names are completely forgotten, SPM takes a look at what those bands are up to now.

Erica Abdnour, a 2007 journalism alumna, may have not cared about Hanson's marital status, but she definitely knew the words to the Ace of Base song "The Sign."

"I totally busted out that CD the other day," Abdnour says of Ace of Base.

Sydni Abrahamsen, also a 2007 journalism alumna, definitely cared about Hanson, and, while no longer a paying fan club member, she still says she considers herself an active fan.

Though Abrahamsen has driven hundreds of miles to see them and admits her room was once covered in Hanson paraphernalia, she points out she isn't an extreme fan.

"I don't even have a Hanson tattoo … yet," Abrahamsen says.

  • Hanson — As mentioned, married. The band released an album in 2007 and, according to their official site, is currently touring around the Eastern United States.

  • Brandy — She had a baby, claimed to be married when she wasn't and then released a greatest hits album. She also was a judge on the first season of "America's Got Talent" and has been rumored to be working on a show with the CW network for the past few years.

  • Ace of Base — Once a four-person group, the band is now down to three after losing a girl. The band is currently embarking on a worldwide tour that has stopped so far in Russia and Belgium and is on its way to the Ukraine, according to their official site.

  • Bush — The chemistry among band members fizzled in 2002 and the band broke up. The group released a greatest hits album in 2005. Singer Gavin Rossdale is now married to Gwen Stefani, and they are expecting their second child by the end of the year.

  • Robyn — Dominating the music world in her homeland of Sweden, Robyn is still around. And still has the same haircut. She's moved on from her "Show Me Love" days to more dance tunes and is releasing a new album at the end of this month.
