Sun Devils settle for second behind USC

The ASU women's golf team has traveled to Hawaii and California this season but enjoyed the comforts of home and the backing of its home crowd this weekend at Karsten Golf Course.

For most of the college basketball season, I was not a strong believer in Memphis.
Sure, I was impressed with its strong nonconference schedule and its wins (that's right, Wildcats: wins) against Connecticut, Georgetown, USC, UA and Gonzaga.

YOU CAN RUN...: Sophomore infielder Katie Crabb chases Oregon’s Cortney Kivett down the third base line in Oregon on Friday, where the ASU beat the Ducks 3-2. The No. 2 ASU softball team (41-2, 5-0 Pac-10) got its weekend off to a promising start on Friday with a 3-2 win over Oregon (25-15, 0-4 Pac-10) in Eugene, Ore.
It was a close game throughout, as the Sun Devils never led by more than two runs.
