ASU Police reported the following incident Friday:
- A 19-year-old male ASU student was arrested Friday morning in the Computing Commons on suspicion of public sexual indecency, police reported.
Police dispatched an officer to the building after receiving a call from ASU staff regarding a man looking at pornography and masturbating, according to the police report.
The officer initially observed the student watching a computer screen that appeared to be playing a television show, police reported.
After a few minutes, the student changed the screen to a pornographic video and "appeared to be manipulating the front of his pants," according to the police report.
The student was cited and released from the ASU Police station.
Tempe Police reported the following incident Friday:
- A 26-year-old Phoenix man was arrested early Friday morning on the 3100 block of South McClintock Drive on suspicion of misconduct involving weapons, police reported.
The man was not cooperative, and a records check showed that he had convictions in the past involving weapons, according to the report. Police also reported that the man is a convicted felon who served time in jail about three years ago.
He did not consent to a search, so police used a K9 police dog to search the vehicle, according to the police report.
Police found marijuana and a .45-caliber Ruger gun in the man's vehicle, police reported.
Police also found an ammunition drum with 50 bullets for the gun, according to the police report.
The man was booked into the Tempe City Jail on one count of misconduct involving weapons and one count of misconduct involving prohibited weapons.
ASU Police reported the following incident Saturday:
- Two 18-year-old female ASU students were arrested early Saturday morning in the Palo Verde Main residence hall on suspicion of being under 21 with alcohol in their bodies, police reported.
An officer observed the two students walk into the lobby of the residence hall, both of them stumbling, swaying from side to side and yelling incoherently, according to the police report.
Police followed the two students and heard them yelling and laughing, police reported. According to the police report, the students left a distinct odor of an intoxicating beverage in the air.
Both students were yelling loud enough so that several residents came out of their rooms to see what was happening, police reported.
When the students arrived at their room, the officer could clearly hear them yell and laugh about prank calling a man, according to the police report.
The officer knocked on the door and heard a female voice say, "What do you want bitch? Just come in, and I'll kick your ass," police reported.
The officer did not reply, but knocked a second time and heard the subjects discussing whether to open the door, according to the police report.
One of the students then said, "Just open the door, we don't have alcohol or anything," police reported.
The students were cited and released.
