OPINIONS
Opinions: Losing the race If you were to say "Schoolhouse Rock" produced the finest videos to ever exist, you would be correct.
Opinions: Summertime, and the living's not easy PELTON: So my roommate came up to me Sunday night to tell me that he had a physics test the next morning that he didn't know about. My girlfriend wanted to watch a movie rather than do her massive amount of psychology homework this weekend. (By the way, how good is Tom Cruise in "Collateral"? If you ever want to know the correct way to run, watch him in this movie. It's absolutely unbelievable what a perfect stride he has. OK, now back to the column.)
Opinions: The living dead SACKETT: This is my last column for The State Press. As columnists, we're supposed to write about topics that will appeal to the masses. But not this column — it's intended for just one person, a person I've never met and never will. Statistically, there should not be another on campus that walks the path of the living dead.
Opinions: Stop breaking the news CLEVERLY: I usually have the same routine every day when I return from my day of school and serving tables. This routine consists of turning on the news, checking my Facebook, updating my fantasy baseball team and looking at the new pictures on dirtyscottsdale.com. However, during all of this, I can't keep my eyes off of CNN and often become disgusted at what is depicted on the daily news. Ever since the introduction of the Internet to the media realm, news has become too easy to access, making it even more important for news outlets to break the day's biggest stories. |
